I have a light film of algee that grows on my glass. You can clean it off and it leaves the tank dull. Then film will be back within a couple of hours. What Do I Do?

Algae on the glass is a normal occurrence. What are you using to clean it off? A good magnet glass cleaner works very well for this film type algae. Just be careful not to get any grains of sand caught in it as it could scratch the glass.

Could be excess diatoms. Does the water you are using have an unusually high concentration of Silicates?
