Is there anyway i could possibly keep a small ONE innch mandarin on this:
a 30 gallon fully established tank full of pods:
a hang on refugium
50 pounds of lr
only fish in the tank;
pods have been growing for 8 months in refuge.
is that possible to keep a mandarin in at all. the size is my biggest problim, will it be ok if the pods are thriving and are plentifl?
thx travis:)

i will say yes and no. you said you have a pod population and you are cultivating them, that ok. and you have 50Lbs of LR in the 30g. now the mandaring is 1" but with plenty of food it will grow very very fast. this is a fish that stays small 3" but it grows fasther than any other fish and eventually will need mora that 50lbs of LR.
But here is something that might help you. i have a 75g, and i have only 55lbs of lr. but i can not put more than that. why because the rock is pourus(spell) and that an A+. it rreally doent matter how many pound of LR you have is the quality of the rock. and if you have a very pourus(spell) rock with 50lbs will be more than enought and if you keep cultivating pods i will say YES you can keep 1
