All-Glass Overflow Accessory Kit

Does anyone have a picture of what the overflow accessory kit contains? I just picked mine up from the store and they gave it to me in a plastic bag that had a PVC pipe, two bulkheads, a gridded piece of plastic, and some elbows and return nozzle. How do I put it all together?

The pet store keeps giving me the wrong stuff. On the new 75 gallon I just got, the overflow is in the left center on the back wall of the tank. The overflow kit they gave me doesn't have nearly the plumbing that the diagram on the "MegaFlow" kit that I need. Are you sure Durso will fit on this tank? What do I do about bulkheads and such?

that is what mine looks like. a sponge goes over the clear plastic pipe at the top with all the holes in it. My advice is to buy a couple of sponges as they need changes every few days and it is easier to have a few on hand.

We've determined we have the same tank, but my overflow assembly does not look like your picture. I did a web search to try to find the 'exploded view' diagram of my installation but could not find it.
The overflow "drain" on mine begins (at the tank bottom) with the bulk head fitting. Into this fitting goes the PVC tube. I wrapped the bottom of the pvc tubing with some teflon tape, just to make it fit snug. At the top of this PVC tube is an elbow fitting assembly (multiple parts). This fitting assembly includes a strainer cage. Essentially the opening in the elbow where the water flows in, points DOWN, toward the bottom of the tank. It makes very little noise.
The return piping again begins at the bottom of the tank with the bulkead fittings. The smaller PVC tube fits into the bulk head. I again wrapped the end of this tube with teflon tape to make it snug fitting. At the top of this tube is a 90 degree elbow that has an anti-siphon hole, then the flexible pipe mechanism that hangs on the overflow chamber.
When I get home, I'll look for the diagram that came with my kit. If I can find it, I'll scan it and post to this thread tomorrow.
I was worried about the return piping coming loose as everything was just dry-fit, but I have had no problems at all yet.

I didn't realize there was a controversy here. If someone's idea was swiped, sounds like some sort of Intellectual Property infringement....
Being a total Newbie, I didn't know the difference, but what I have works really well

My other hobby is model rocketry, which is much more 'cottage' in nature... People (and companies) share ideas all the time. But other than two main rocket motor producers, all the 'companies' are just hobbyist gone off the deep end.
The fish hobby is a lot more 'corporate' from what I gather. But I know I'd look at it as a compliment if someone implemented any ideas I came up with.

wjwaz59,
I asked my LFS to order two new overflow accessory kits... both made by All-Glass and I am going to go there tommorow and find the one I need. I am looking for the "MegaFlow" model, sounds like that is what you have also. Do you have any pics of your sump/fuge you could email to me? Mhull87@cox.net
