cats, dogs, ragweed, mold
my son is the same. he is taking shots now.
I believe our bodies change every few years. My hubby was an avid shellfish
lover until age 22. Now deathly allergic. About 10 years later he developed a nut allergy. Not just the tree or bush, but cross over. he can eat pecan, macadamia and cashew. He is actually in a study here at Washington University with others with this new group of "crossover" allergies. They are beging to think it is the way the seeds are being altered before planting to make them more resistant to bugs/damage during growth.

WOW, well I am going to sound like a wimp now. I am allergic to raw egg yolk. I used to love toast and two over medium eggs. Then all of a sudden my body said, Nope you don't want this anymore.

I am clearly allergic to work. This is evident by the fact that I am posting right now at 10:30 on a Thursday.

haha
I used to think I was allergic to excersize. I mean, I got all red, my respiratory rate increased, my heart raced, and my skin got all wet!!
Sounds like an allergy to me doesn't it??
Anyway, kerriann,
You may have tried it but I just learned it so I'll share. I heard some farmer guys talking and they said that 2 tablespoons of honey each day will practically knock out allergies like yours. But it can't be the store bought honey cause that's 70% corn syrup, you gotta pay big bucks and get the real thing.
May be something to consider...

Allergies to bees are from the sting, you can still eat the honey.
My dad's allergic to bee stings, but he eats honey all the time...

I had a lot of outdoor allergies to pollen and other flowering things in the spring. The doctor told me to eat honey prduced locally. He siad that it helps build a resistance to the pollens. I didnt beleive him but tried it anyway and it really worked so good infact in the spring now I dont have to go get allergy shots to do anything.

used to be allergic to some fruits, but then that stopped out of nowhere. have outdoor allergies as well... but the most dangerous thing im allergic to is avocado and sometimes veggies. almost died once from the avocado, lol that sucked. i loved how they didnt want to treat me until i signed some papers, but couldnt sign anything and they ended up having to carry me in to give me some shots

This is going to sound ridiculous but back in high school I developed an allergy to the different types of grasses that grow around here in MD. I had to take medication to play football because everytime I practiced or played in a game and actually was down in the grass I would break out in hives real bad. I was fine to walk around outside and all but if I was down in the grass it was bad. Luckly it cleared up eventually like my doctor said it would. Apparently guys have a lot of hormone issues when they are in high school that can cause allergies...who would have thunk it?

honey huh???? at this point, i'm willing to try anything!!! i've been tossing around the idea of getting that nasal surgery where i guess they break part of your nose or the septum or something to keep your sinuses from getting clogged but if honey will keep me from getting puffy and get me some sleep again i'm willing to try it!! now i just need to find a place to get real honey...

you want to look for local though california honey is not going to do you any good if you are in florida since there are different trees and plants. it really works though may not work for everyone. it will take a few weeks for it to really start working though but still to this day I use it. I stopped useing it for about a year or so and the symptoms started coming back so I started the honey thing again and they stopped.

pretty much everything other than bees (thank goodness) and any foods... Cats kill me, long haired dogs, grass, pollen, evergreens, cigarette smoke... i could make a huge list... one time at my buddies house i forgot to take an allergy pill, he has cats, i sneezed so many times and progressively harder that i threw my back out... it wasnt funny then but it is now... i stopped counting after 50 sneezes... and those were within like 10 minutes...

As a kid - strawberries (no longer)
I have asthma and allergies to something here, got to go in for additional testing soon - definitely getting worse.
I have an extremely severe allergy to wasps and hornets, resulting in anaphylaxis. I am now on maintenance doses of allergy shots once a month. Never knew it until 2 years ago!

I hate the testing, i'd rather do anything than have them prod my arm with a bunch of different allergins again. And then you are supposed to sit there and not scratch your arm! I think its how doctors humor themselves to get through the day.
