true but still it was horrible!!! and yes they do... atleast they did with me to see the severity of the reaction and to see what kind of molitove coctail they had to brew to inject me with... atleast i dont have to go get shots every week anymore... claritin does the trick for most situations... except when i am around cats...

Yup, my first round was, and I expect the next one will be too
But the venom one was on my arm (well after the sting that swelled up my whole body

I've got allergies to cats, dogs, pollen, trees, grasses, molds, fungus, opiates, among dozens of other things. I've also got asthma and rhinitus.
I haven't been able to sleep in 3 days due to the drainage in the back of my throat. I actually heard the guy that lives upstairs yell and throw something across the room because I think he was tired of hearing me cough all night.
I used to get allergy shots that helped a LOT, but ever since I went back to college I haven't had medical insurance. Only 1.5 year left and I graduate. YES!

I found ought after basically having penicillin for 34 yrs of my life that I am now deathly allergic to it. Got me a trip to the hospital and two humongous shots of benadryl, for those of you who have never had a benadryl shot, take note: NEVER VOLUNTEER FOR ONE
. I also have developed an allergy to Ibuprofen in the last 2 yrs, I break out in hives and feel like ants are in my chest.
I too have had the dreaded allergy testing. 150 hits on each arm, Actually had to endure that on two seperate occasions. Once at the local ENT doc where they were all neg. and then once at the OK. allergy clinic were again they were all neg. I was told that I was not allergic, but was suffering from irratants, gave me a sinus rinse kit to do daily and walla I was cured.

It has been years since I have had the agony of eating a raw egg yolk. Sure enough last night it happened. I guess I should have knocked on wood after I posted.

I had to get a benadryl IV on one of my trips to the emergency room, it probably hurt a lot, I can't remember much from that day. Just that I had the best sleep ever with that thing in my arm. I was out like a baby for almost 6 hours

We think it was in the custard of the double lemon cream pie I got from Marie Callendars yesterday. They probably did not temper it right, but who can blame them they are in a hurry since it is their pie sale month right now. I once got hit from real homemade egg nog. Trust me when I say you do NOT want to know the details of what happens to me.
Yeah it is only raw egg yolk, I can eat it once it is cooked. So I am forced to a life of scrambled eggs if we eat out for breakfast.
I just thought the timing of it all was pretty funny, I mean it had been at least 3 or 4 years since I have had a problem.

I am allergic to "Febreeze" and a couple cheap perfumes. my airways close up in about 30 seconds if I get a whiff of febreeze, so I always avoid that aisle in the super market it seems every person to go through the aisle has to spray at least one product so thats a very bad section for me. same thing with the perfume aisle.

Scotts, what about over hard? Those areone of my favorite ways to make eggs, but you hafta add the salt after you remove them from the frying pan. That's what makes them so good, barely melted salt.
Reefkprz, you'd blow your face off in my house! Febreeze is pretty much the only scent that ive not gotten sick of! I buy the fabric softener with febreeze, dryer sheets, air freshener...
i still like it for now.

LTS you are right I should have gone for the coconut cream, then I would have not even gone near the pie last night and would be feeling fine today.

Tizzo, You know I usually don't like eggs like that, but for some reason an egg sandwich sounds pretty good right not, seasoned with the right amount of salt.
Alix, You know my first thought was OH NO, not blue cheese!!! Then I saw your other post about taking 2 shots a day....
, still feel bad about the blue cheese thing though

Sounds like an allergy to me doesn't it??
Anyway, kerriann,
You may have tried it but I just learned it so I'll share. I heard some farmer guys talking and they said that 2 tablespoons of honey each day will practically knock out allergies like yours. But it can't be the store bought honey cause that's 70% corn syrup, you gotta pay big bucks and get the real thing.
May be something to consider...
This also only works if it's local honey from the current year. That way it has all the current local allergines in it.It's best to start at the very beginning of spring.Basically as soon as it hits the shelves. That way your body will build a tolerance to that years allergines.

Also if you have a food allergy and continue to eat it any way.You will never get over that allergy.Even if it's in something cooked and you don't break out or vomit.Your body still reacts.Just not as obviously.
You also can have a allergic reaction at anytime to anything.
The majority of people with animal allergies.Aren't allergic to their dander or hair as originally believed.Your actually allergic to a protein in the saliva. Then when they lick their selves. It dries on their hair and becomes air born.Thats why cats are worse. They lick their selves more often. The protein varies from animal to animal. So you may not be allergic them all.Just certain ones.My son is very allergic to most animals. We had a pit bull he loved and wasn't allergic to.Then when we had to sadly replace him with a golden retriever.Stupid brother-in-law decided out of the blue after 3 years he wanted to have his dog back
It was horrible. All the golden had to do was lick my son and he would break out in hives exactly were he licked him.If he rubbed his eyes it was all over too.So sadly the golden had to go.Hopefully we will find another dog he can love without being miserable soon.
I'm allergy geek.I have to be since my 3 year old is allergic to any and everything.Food and non food.

b-baby are you looking for a large dog or a small dog?
larger dog breed look at the boder collies
and for smaller look at chiuauas or japanese crested or a poodle all f them are normally allergy friendly dogs.
