ALS skimmer and mag 5 for sale eastern PA

I have a used aquatic life systems skimmer, i picked up and have decided not to use. It says its rated for 90 gallons. Does not come with a pump. $50

mag 5 i got with a tank i bought used. I was told it was only used for a few months. $35.

does the skimmer just sit in the sump??
what kind of pump does it need?

i believe it can run in sump, or HOB. i was told by the guy i got it from that an mj1200 will run it just fine.
