The item that pokes up is the sphion, you can easily see what might be considered gills or intake on the opposite end. My Squamosa is a tear drop as well. Yours look happy and healthy.

The long opening is the inhalant siphon. The exhalent siphon forms a raised cone.

Thanks...so the opening on the right is an intake????
I use to have a page saved that was the anatomy of a clam...lol...but I can't find it anymore
