I think you are overstocked...I'd try and replace the hippo and sailfin for more appropriate fish for a 72gal because IMO, they will outgrow it. If you were to replace the two tangs you'd be able to add more, a couple fairy wrasses would be nice additions.

I wouldnt say you are overstocked now if those fish are really that small but they will certainly outgrow it in a year or 2 at the most. The tangs do need to get in a larger tank pretty soon so i wouldnt add anything until you upgrade or get rid of at least 1 or both of the tangs.

I will upgrade to 150gal in February...... but untill then I believe they should be fine.... I wasn't planning on adding anithing else, but my wife wants a Royal Gramma...

You have a nice set of fish already so I would wait for the bigger tank. If you have to get another fish, I would go with something small like a neon or clown goby.

Tks for the input.... I won't get more fish until I can upgrade to a bigger tank.
(I have some pics and videos on my webpage if you guys want to see it.)

will the triggers still nip in a 125 gallon tank with a lot of live rock? have 2 emperor 400's, 2 powerheads, and a protein skimmer

yeah it doesnt seem like they will do it but no matter what size tank a trigger should nip at a lion even if there is a bunch of live rock but i think you should be fine because those are some of the less aggressive triggers

Yeah, I think you are overstocked as well.
You are only hurting your butterfly, angel, star, and clean-up crew by keeping your SG that low. Keeping it at 1.020 will not really prevent ich much at all.
I also hope you know how huge horse shoe crabs get, and that most triggers and wrasses will eventually eat them.
