Why would you ask this question especially in a forum like this?

Yeah my tanks get more attentions than my big plasma.

I could relate until the not blinking part...that isn't normal.
So I assume your joking. What good is a fish tank if you don't watch the fish???
I have my tank in the living room, the TV is on one side and the tank is next to my sofa. I find myself watching the tank and just half listening to the TV.

.....sounds healthier than all the TV zombies who stare at hours of moronic sitcoms & reality shows. Watching '24' is, of course a different story.

the wife came down last night where I was sitting in front of a tank.. she said... "yeah, I thought I would find you here". so yeah... it happens.

I can't be trusted to get up and get anything from another room - I end up mesmerized by one of the tanks and never return to the original spot, often leaving people waiting. My husband often comes up behind me and demands that I "step away from the tank, Maam."

LOL...Don't we all....after putting so much money into them...I think we would be crazy if we didn't look at them al lthe time...
I also lay on the floor and watch all the little critters run around in my refugium.....

you should video your tank.... stereo fish vision.
I'm waiting for 3D fish glasses. The front could be made out of some weird glass that bends light when viewed with special glasses and pull you in to your tank.

Yes, like others I do watch my fish.... Find it quite peaceful... Brings a little bit of serenity into a rather hectic life (especially after work).....

me of course

I personally don't think any of us are normal...

we spend thousands of dollars creating a natural environment in an unnatural place...
we mix disturbingly large amounts of electricity and salt water...
we brood over our little environments as if they were our children...
and we spend hours trying to justify one more fish, a bigger tank, a better skimmer, etc, etc...

I am in the negotiation stage of a tank upgrade with my husband. My babies need to swim freely!

And your point is?

I'd rather be an un-normal saltwater addict than a "normal" non-hobbyist.
