Am I ready for an anemone yet? I want to make sure I am in great shape before I add one to my tank so that it will have the best chance for success. Here are the params...
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 10 (I try really hard to keep it low, but can't seem to get it to zero)
pH = 8.3
Salinity = 1.025
Alkalinity = 6.5 dkH (trying to slowly raise)
Calcium = 315 ppm (trying to slowly raise)
Temp = 80-81 degrees (chiller is out for repair)
Tank is a 24 gallon aquapod with 150 watt HQI, I believe
I am really hoping that this might work, I have been waiting YEARS to get one and feel that I am closer now than ever. I have a black saddle back clown and was hoping to get a green bubble tip early next week.
Also, is there any sort of precautions that I need to take as far as pumps are concerned. I have read horror stories of anemonies getting sucked up into pumps and making a right mess. I have a koralia nano (sorta high in the water column, but I dont want to take any risks) and a maxijet 400. Is there some sort of filter or something that I should add to the pumps to protect the anemone?
Thanks for any help!
