Am I sick.. do I have a problem?

i just sold my bedroom tv 26inch lcd flat panel to buy some lights for my new 90g..upgraded from a 24g aquapod....lol....figured i'll be staring at the tank more then the tv..i;ve always known i was gonna go bigger but wanted to start small and get experience with sw tanks before i spend lots of hard earnd money..well actually i just sit in front of a computer all day surfin the net....
i tell ppl at work about my tank and no one gives a rats a$$..thats y i love this site..and my wife for being the one who actually pushed me into this hobby instead of wasting my money on my -- cars..

Maybe this will put things into perspective. I was out of the hobby for several years and just started reef keeping about 1.5 years ago. Here's how it unfolded over a very short period of time. I won't even get into the livestock part of it.

55g with PC >
75g with PC >
75g with PC and 20g sump >
75g with 250w MH 2x65 actinic and 20g sump>
75g with 250w MH 2x65 actinic and 20g sump & skimmer>

This is the point where I lost it

75g with 250w MH 2x65 actinic and 20g sump & skimmer and a 125g 3x250 & 4x96 actinics. Left the 75g alone and added all this to the 125
Then I added a 75g sump
Then I upgraded the skimmer
Then added Neptune controller
Then added AutoTop off
Then added Seio controller with wave maker
.
In addition to the 75g show tank and 125g display tank I then added
.
75g SPS tank
2x250MH, chiller, controller, calcium reactor, autotop off, fuge, skimmer, wave system, etc...
.
Then added a 55g frag tank with chiller, reactor, 250w MH, skimmer etc...
.
And I'm working on either a 210 or 360g display tank
.
And I still feel rather incomplete, knowing that only a much larger tank will cure me or ease the pain....

Ok see this needs intervention before you get worse
STOP before you start looking at loved one and think how much you can get for one of their kidneys.

Well When you go to a big city aquarium in chicago or new york, and you you think it looks completly stupid you have a terrible problem!!! I'm sick of seeing shark exhibits with artificial reefs, Show me some cool coral I tell them. That's when they look at kind of strange?

Or when you got to the Famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and they have items labeled wrong on the exibits. You shut your mouth because you think silently you CANT be the only person that noiced......But if you ARE then you have a BIG problem.
So you just shrug and go buy a 5 dollar cup of coffee that tastes like they used tankwater in your own little private hell wondering if you have crossed the line in Saltwater Geekdome.

I guess i have been lucky, i started with a 60 wide. It's about all the room i have till i can run my kids off! Then i get to remodel and take over my daughters room for a inwall monster tank! I have thought about a trip to mexico and trade her to the 1st family i meet!

Really just kidding, but it can be sooooo addictive! I am holding off on buying a new truck so i can have a larger tank!

I found a 1000g tank for sale at a great price (4k) and I've been obsessing on getting this tank for about a week. Seriously, I had dreams about it last night. Problem is that a few weeks ago when I was given the ok to get the 210 (still has not arrived) I swore up and down that I would never ask for another tank because the 210 was "the tank of my dreams" and that I would condense all the other tanks into the 210..............D'Ho....must learn not to say such stupid things....

So now I'm thinking that I could use the 210 as an awesome refugium and frag tank/sump combo unit,....Oh yeah,...I got it all figured out......By the way, how much can you get for a kidney?....LOL...

Your addicted, If you keep upgrading I would say buy a tank in the range of a 250 to 300 gallon tank. - It will keep you busy for YEARS. - To fill a reef tank takes ALOT of work and ALOT of money when you get to that size. - I have a 125 gallon tank, and im going on 2 years and its still not filled the way I want and I buy something for the tank atleast once a month.
also, how in the heck does the guy above me know how much a part of a lung costs!??
