didn't see any threads on it, so here goes one.
and if any liberal weenies try to pry the gun from his cold dead hand, I'll still have my money riding on Heston.

He was my all time favorite actor. Had a great career and was certainly worth his weight in gold in terms of talent. Really never got in to the whole political side of him, and don't really feel it matters. He has right to his views, just as every and anyone else. That doesn't effect his career and accomplishments at all, nor should it.
Bye CH, you will be missed.

...And the Promised Land is a happier place today with his arrival.
Enjoy eternity Mr. Heston. Hollywood lost a great man this weekend.
(In a related story, for those of you that believe in the afterlife, how funny would it be if Mr. Heston was met at the Gates of Heaven by a couple of angels wearing monkey masks?)

I guess now the NRA will be "up in arms"! haha sorry, couldn't resist.

Over the last 15 or so years I have seen the NRA as a necessary evil Heston added some badly needed class to.

Well, I've actually never read a bible in my life so, I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday.

My Dad was on the board of directors of the NRA while CH was president. He met him at hotel, and they stopped for a bite to eat. The waitress was a bit timid until CH called over the NRA photographer and had his photo taken with the young lady, and spent about 15 minutes speaking with her. Dad said he was total class, and went out of his way for others.

I'll bet a lot of folks(especially liberals)don't know that CH was involved in the civil rights movement in it's early days. He helped ease discrimination against blacks in the movie industry and other areas. RIP CH.
