ammonia and nitrate

just added a cleaner and peppermint shrimp
in my tank on wed. did a test on everything about an
hour ago and my ammonia is at (0.24) and my nitrate
is at (4.5) is it possible that adding the shrimp caused
the spike. all other tests were good. i would apreciate
any help.

IMO it would be impossible.... how long has the tank been up and how many gallons?

it's been up for a little over 2months and completed it's cycle. it's a 65 gallon

do some water changes, until nitrates and ammonia is at zero
