ammonia level?

i got some LR wed morning i checked my ammonia level today it was bad like 4.5 so i changed the water just now. how many times do i need to change my water, or do i just let the ammonia level go down on its own? how long does this take?

do you have fish in your tank or is it still cycling?

yes i got the LR in a large container with air stone

Just let the ammonia level go down on its own. It should take about 2-4 weeks if you have proper circulation going through the container with the live rock.
