Ok so my flame scallop died 2 days ago
yesterday the tank was happy but today i noticed my green star polyp was a little disturbed... some of the polyps aren't openning
i decided it wasn't normal and went to check the water chemistry
the ammonia is at 1.5 ppm
other than a water change is there anything more i can do?

Did something die recently besides the flame, did you remove the flame remanence? How old is the tank? Hows your filtration and clean up crew? Water changes..BTW.... flame scallops have a very very short tank life and these are some of the animals that should nit be purchased and just be left in the ocean..

Prime by Seachem will usually (and REALLY quickly) transform it to nitrate and detoxify it till then.

Yea i found that out after i bought it... it was an impulse buy... i wont do that again haha. it lasted a little over 4 months
i removed all of it... at least i think i did.. i dont see anything
i have a tiny clean up crew.. i know i need more but the one's i have are extremely aggressive and kill everyone else
the tank is 7 months old
