ammonia spike

i just switched from a 30 to 75 gal tank and added some more live rock..i checked my levels and the ammonia went through the roof.should i wait a few days before i panick?

What ya got in there? The tank is cycling so panic depends on whats in it. Got hardy things that'll survive a cycle? if not then Panic.

yeah tell us what's in there and how much live rock did you add? Also, I notice you are from OKC, we have several of us here from Oklahoma. Where do you shop? :)

ive got a tomato clown. hammer, frogsprawn,mushrooms, keyhole angel ..i put on a 400 bio wheel filter along with the 280 i had and got a dirty wheel from the fish store.i used the water from the 30 gal tank and ro for the rest.. i think the live rock was not fully cured..

Check your ammonia and be sure it's going down and not up, may need to do a major water change. I tried the RS once and got very bad advise on what to buy, blew money and the anenome and dwarf angel they sold me died within a week and brought ich into my tank, they did however take back the percula clown they told me would do fine with the tomato clown I already had,who BTW almost killed the perc I learned my lessons the hard way at that place. Oh well, my sob story my fault. :(
