What are your water parameters? And what kind of anemone do you? And what kind of lighting are you using?

How long has your tank been running?

These are very good questions, going to the cause of the ammonia spike, but you have to get the ammonia down, and fast. Water changes can help, but for fast lowering of ammonia take a look at ammonia neutralizers such as "AmmoLoc". There are many others, the chemistry is well known. Be sure to follow the directions carefully and exactly - some of these will lower the dissolved oxygen levels in the water, and you may need to add a powerhead to increase water circulation.

He could also use Prime to detoxify things in the tank while he sources the Problem. It certainly helped me out when I had a goof during my cycling process. Also the reason that I asked about how long the tank has been running is that it may not have cycled completely yet and has restarted the process. In that case a water change will actually make things worse.
