Amount of rock???

hey guys, i have a 35 gal tank, i plan on running a 175w MH for corals and anemones.....how many pounds of live rock should put in my tank???

Most people do 1 - 2 lbs. per gallon. Although its recommended to do about 1.5 lbs per gallon. So maybe around 52.5lbs. You can also do some dead rock with some live rock, so the live rock will seed the dead rock.

IMO, the more rock you can fit, the better. Just make sure that you leave room for your fish to swim!! I'd get about 60 lbs of rock total, but if you want to save money (and who doesn't?), like Masala said, you can use live rock to seed dead rock.

Seeding is when pods, chitons, as well as other benifitial organisms move to other rocks of the tank, that are not alive. This then makes them "live" rock, sice they have things growing on them.
