Amphipods harrassing my snail

So I have one snail in my 2.5 gallon and he is getting stormed by 3-4 amphipods that really seem to be irritating him. He keeps pulling back into his shell. Is this something to be concerned with or is it just a natural thing. I know there isn't much I can do about it but am just wondering.

Have you tried blowing them off with a turkey baster or something?

there is one by its head and one on its rear end
