amphipods! what are they and should i kill them?

i have recently noticed a ton of these little, slender, multilegged creatures in my saltwater tank. they are creepy. are they going to kill my fish or funk up my tank? arrrrg!

no..... they will get eaten up once the fish see them[

Amphipods wont cause any problems - they help! There are some things you should watch out for though.

well i am glad that they arent harmful, but my fish just seem to ingnore them. i wonder if a cleaner wrasse would eat them?
