This is the 3rd one of these I have seen. It feels heavy and like jello to the touch but looks weightless in the water. Is it animal? Is it alive or dead? An egg sack of some kind? It's the size of a golf ball.

must admit I'm not an expert on gastropods. which one of the 70,000 known species of gastropods do you think made this in my tank and should I leave it or remove it?

you all gotta do a little better than that...definitely not even close to a ctenophor which is shaped like a comb and retracts. I have had several. And telling me its gastropod eggs is like telling me something in my tank made it. Maybe after somebody has their coffee this morning they can tell me what it is??
