Hey I just bought 2 1100 rio powerheads and was wondering what should be the correct setup, one in two same corners or one in two corners across from each other, and should i adjust the flow?

He's not saying he doesnt use powerheads. Just not Rio's. They've had a had history of shorting out, breaking down, and the suction cups in them suck and fall off.

I have rio's on my skimmers and never had a problem.
As far as suction cups go, I bought some huge ones (like 2") at Home Depot and glued them to the PH. Works GREAT!!!

The correct set up is to put them back in the box and get your money back. They are garbage, worthless, waste of $, noisy and undependable-especially on a re-start up. I am being kind as far as RIO and quality. No offense to you, just stating what I have experienced with RIO.

I started with Rio. Now I use only Maxi-Jets. Do a search on this forum for a thread started by moi called "From Rio to Maxi-Jet" to read why the switch and why I'll never go back.

What do you people think of marine land PH? I;ve been running them for 9 months now with no problems other than cleanign the impellers ever 3 months

I've been running a marineland for about 6 months, pretty happy with it. The suction cup that came with it wasn't strong enough to hold it up, but I worked around that.

my experience with rios is that the big ones suck! little ones dont seem to break down as easily....ive had several rios that are still running after three years, and...knock on wood...will continue ot function properly!
good luck
