If the water line is very close to the top then it could cause them to jump easier.
It is a 46 bowfront, not drilled. I do have about an inch of space though. I am currently looking for a 90 or so gallon. Just wanted to know if it normal not to use a top. Maybe the clown had a ride on my hand when I jerked it out. I don't know why it scares me, just don't expect it. Glad I saw him on the floor, since I didn't even know he came out.
