Anemone 911!

I woke up and checked my tank this morning and noticed a few anemone tentacles scattered around the tank and my pink tip anemone has been sucked up to my powerhead. I turned off the power head but he is still stuck to the strainer. He looks like he is trying to get off right now. What should I do?

Take the strainer with anemone off, not apart.
Place them on the substrate and see if the anemone can work himself off.
Run a fresh batch of carbon.
Have a water change ready in case you need to do one, in fact I'd do one anyway.
Keep a close eye on the anemone to make sure that it doesn't have a meltdown, in which case you will need to remove it asap.
Find a sponge to place around your powerhead intake or build a plastic basket around it with plastic grid from a hobby shop.

Thanks for the help thomas712! How will I know if I should try to keep the anemone or put him to rest. He looks alive but he is in bad shape.

He will look like melted ice cream, and it doens't take long when the end is really near. If he looks like that then you will know.
