anemone and lighting

can a sea anemone for my clownfish live with one 48 inch marine glo bulb? i have a 55 gallon. or is there another light bulb i can use with my light fixture?

make sure you provide your anemone with actinic lighting to help feed the algae that grows in it, anemones are known to be tough to care for

No thats not enogh.You need lots more lighting for anemomes.Get like 200 watts of pc and ull be fine if u get a amemone that doest require tons of lite like a condylactis amenome.They dont depend on photosinthesis for there energy,but u nede to feed them meaty foods more often.

eddie's one and only post. cliff, you're a wigger. eddie if you're out there, the answer to your question is still no. and, yes there are a few different alternatives you may choose from, do a search.

My lfs told me i could use whatever lighting i want for an anemone. Found out its not true.

well my LFS keeps there anemones in a tank with only 15 watt lights and thats what they tell people they need its crazy.
