Yes, I feed mine shrimp soaked in Zoe about 3 times a week. It recently split into two and I too one to my LFS for credit to purchase something else!

If you are asking if you can put food into the anemone for it to take, then absolutely. I hand feed mine once a week. I use frozen silversides or krill. I thaw it out, let it come to room temperature, then place into the anemone for it to grasp and eat. I usually have to push off my cleaner shrimp who are always looking for a free meal. I make sure that the anemone has a good hold of the food before I trust the shrimp around the anemone.

I have had a green carpet for just about a year now. When I bought him he was about 3 in in dia. He currently is about 13-14 now maybe more when fully opens up after a nice feeding. I feed many things as I make up his food, I use fresh squid, (he loves scallops and will stuff his face quick with them), shrimp. I keep placing chunks on him untill he complely turns into himself. I feed him once a week. Somtimes shows hunger midweek when I feed the tank and his mouth starts bulging and I will give him a smaller meal. I hand feed with long clear (3" dia) tube as he will sting you if touched with out surgical gloves
All I do is buy these at the market cut it up in chunks and mix together then freeze
His name is Maytag, as we all know he may do to any fish in my tank, but so far so good, and he is rather a nice size carpet! He is the only fish muncher I own.
I think that pick of that carpet above is a "purple" carpet.

No Chance. My female Clarkii will attack my hand if I get near my Purple Carpet. If I try to feed a krill to the snowflake she'll steal it to give to the Carpet. If the eel tries to steal it back she'll attack it. She is the unquestioned Alpha critter in my bad boys tank.

I have a Carpet about 5" in dia. i feed it 1-2 times a week 1 cube of frozen bryne shrimp.I take out a cube stir it in a cup of aqaurium water then use 10" tweezers and put the cube in its mouth. Even when using tweezers the two clowns I have attack me they are very protective. They nibble away but that's about it. It's a remarkable bond the anemonie and clowns have and extraordinary to watch.

So it's frozen when your anemone gets it?

No. It gets stirred in the DT's water that's 78F for about 5 min. The stirring makes it stay sorta in a cube while defrosting it.

I was just stung by an anemone for the first time last week. a single tentacle, felt like a little electric shock, similar to if you touch your tongue to a 9volt battery. I wouldn't want to know how it would've felt with more tentacles!

Oh gosh I'm scared now. I just got the silversides now so I guess it's to late.
Anyway I fed him today and I had the same cleaner shrimp experience. (Sigh) Oh well. I did get the anemone to finish it.
