I would say its "going". Dr. Thomas may have more info than me.
When they start falling apart, turning inside out etc., that usually means they are dying.
Your LTA looks pretty typical. Here is one of mine all closed up, I thought I had a good pic of it opened WAAAYY up. He gets to be the size of a dinner plate sometimes :scared:

did you contact the place you orderd it from. Since it was almost DOA.....
