Just because its red/purple doesnt mean its a BTA.
Look beyond the color guys.
The actual structure of this anemone resembles that of a LTA.
notice the fainted stripes running down the tentacles? and the way the base of the anemone is shaped (where the tentacles sprout from) this is no
BTA.
It looks like a BTA just because of the color. It is a LTA.

So you're saying these two pictures are NOT the same. The very top picture in the first post is a LTA, but the picture in my last post is a RBTA? (that is what it's being sold as anyway).

the first
pic that the thread was started with is a LTA.
they are not the same thing. They are different anemones they just have the same color
Just because they are both pink, and have tentacles doesnt mean they are the same.
Either way, they are both nice anemones.
The BTA will be somewhat hardy-er and easier to care for IMO. If you have the choice to decide between a Lta and a Bta, chose the BTa. JMO.

Thanks Shrimpi, I think I will go with the BTA and probably order it through the place that shows the last picture. It will add some great color to my tank, though I know the actual color will vary.

if you want to up your chances of getting good color, get a rose bubble tip anemone. most LTAs arent that vivid, and if you dont specifiy ROSE BTA you might get a brown or green, or some other color.
The RBTAs are a little pricy, but worth it for the color.

Here is a pic of my LTA. There is not a lot of info about them around. I have had mine for about 6 months and my clown is in love!!
I feed mine once a week with silversides and my clown also feeds him a little daily. I did find out that they do come with different coloring. By the way when I bought mine it was approx. 4" in Diameter and now it is approx 8-10 inches in diameter (tentacles included). They are a great anenome! Enjoy.
