Anemone in the sand?

My anemone had planted itself in the sand. I have had him for about two months. Is it ok that it is in the sand? I tried the first month to place it in the live rock, but it always moved back to the sand. So, I am now leaving it alone. It seems really happy.

Is it a long tentacle? (I think it looks like one) My lta promptly planted it's foot in the sand and has never moved. LTA's prefer to be in the sand.

I was told it was a bubble tip anemone when I bought it.

I agree with alyssia, its a LTA and a nice one. They prefer the sand.

That's a strange coincidence, when I got my lta I was also told it was a bta.
