anemone ..... is this normal or do i have a wierd one

hi folks
i just got my first anemone and was wondering if its normal for them to crawl into a cave and hang out there. I realize that its the first day there and it has to get used to its new home,,, but in a cave ????????

What type of anemone, because if you have a Bubble-tip anemone they tend to move around go in caves to check out your tank for their favorite spot.

yes your right,,,,, i should have stated that it is a Condy Anemoneand its about 5 "tall obout an inch from the end of the tentacles it fades from white to a light pink very healthy looking critter

Its pretty normal. He is just scoping things out. Let him be, unless he stays there for a couple of days. In that case, try to get him to move, but as little as possible. This can stress them out. He will move around your tank until he finds a good spot with ligthing and proper water flow.
