Anemone Mystery Blew Up?

I woke up this morning and my BTA was gone. I looked for a bit, and then I realized I was seeing small pieces of him all over the tank. Like chunks. Any ideas? Last night he was completely fine, big bubble tips and everything. The only thing that I have done recently like a few days ago was add xenia and frogspawn. Two small frags of each. Its not like he melted away, but blew up....levels are all normal. Any ideas? I looked in a saw the clown swimming on other side and went thats not right and then looked at the anemone rock and just gone...

Yes, Only one main intake for the CL system and it has a screen on it with tiny slits. But this anemone has been in the same place for like a month. I don't know why last night it would decide to take a stroll...It would have needed to go a long way and across sand to get to that screen anyway. Unless it completely detached which makes no sense, but it remains were around its last seen point...other ideas...i also added calcium last night and coral vite and fed it yesterday too some mysis.

Do i really need to get the pieces out, because it would be futile as they are everywhere and I only see a few. So I will just let it be, the water is clear the levels are fine...who knows...maybe in a few months I will see a bunch of tiny anemones...wishful thinking...

Same thing happened to me. I added some reef buffer to the tank as I always do, well one time my anemone closed up and by the next day was completely gone. I didn't see any spikes in my params, but I did do a WC to be safe. It was a bummer.

Well sounds good, I am using chemi-clean today for cyano so I will be doing a water change in about a day...my cleaner shrimp is gnawing on some remains...any ideas why though?
