is this normal?
I've had a few anemones throughout my time in this hobby and they've all stuck to the rockery within a few minutes.
is it ok if it doesn't stick?
is there something i can do to help it grab a rock??
A drifting anemone is an unhappy anemone.
*Post your water parameters
*Post your lighting
*Post tank age
*Post type of anemone
The more info the better.
my perameters are darn near perfect trates, trites, and amonnia are <5, and ph is 8.4
my lighting is the stock biocube lighting (im not sure what that is)
the tank will be 2 in october
and ill have a pic of the anemone up in a sec
unless he is a rock flower or a bta or some condi i would say your lighting is not sufficent for him, but how did you acclimate him to the tank becuase he might be in shoch from the picture. Or did you watch them remove him form a rock or glass in the tank they could of damaged his foot.
I also agree that your lighting is probably not going to cut it. I cant say for sure unless you tell us what it is. Lighting is very important to these animals. Good luck, and I hope this helps.
