Anemone on the move!

My Florida Condi anemone is moving around in my tank again and it has moved before as well. It stung my musroom coral before and they r still doing fine and now its bothering my greeneye zoos is it at all possible for me to pull it off the LR with out causing any damage so I could place it some where else so it dont bother anything? I have never attempted this before or yet so thats why Im here now asking for some advise so i could go on ahead move it.
so does anyone have any suggestions:notsure: :thinking:

Moving it will only cause it stress, and then more than likely it will move again.
It is searching for a spot that it likes, it may find it, it may not.
If it is in a really bad spot you might want to point a power head toward it so that it moves away from that spot.

Condys are notorious for moving around. Some people say they just free float around.
I got lucky and mine doesnt leave his rock. (knock on wood)

i have had that problem with my bulb anomones. to take them off use a toothpick and gently take him off the rock by starting at one spot on the foot and prying him off like peeling a sticker off a window. i have also found that marooning(sp?) them on a rock surrounded by sand will keep them where you want them. i have two on anomonee alkatraz now and they havent escaped.

hi,
just bought a anemone for clownfish. found the anemone moved up in the rocks. can see about 1/2 inch out of rock - is this normal? will it move back down so the clowns can get into it?

Possibly but I'd have to know what kind of anemone you have in order to give you the right possible answer.
If its a BTA or bubble tip anemone this behavior could be normal as it searches out a proper spot to place there foot. They like to place there pedial disc in a crevase or on a rock.

thanks for the information - the anemone moved again -have to look for it must be in the rocks someplace.
bought it for the clowns - the clowns have to find it also.
