i just purchased a bubble tip anemone i placed him in the tank where i thought the light was strongest....in no time he crawled all the way to the back of my tank under a ledge where u can't hardly see him...he is getting minimal light there as well...do u think if i turn off the light in the back corner that he will move back around to the front...i tried grabbing him and moving him but he was stuck solid...i couldn't budge him and i didn't want to pull too hard....please help

He will hide for a few days while he gets used to your tank and adjusts to your lighting. If you move him (which, BTW, don't pull him!!) he will just move back. Been there, done that.

when i woke up this morning the bubble tip was still in the same spot only now he is fully opened up....does this mean that that is going to be his spot indefinately?

The anemone will move around until it finds just the right current and lighting.
Patience and leave it be! once it settles in front of your viewing panel you will be pleased I'm sure!

Never move your anemone, that is the most important rule of anemone ownership. They know exactly where they need to be and when...moving them always does more harm than good. :joy:
That being said, part of anemone ownership is being prepared for the bugger to move wherever it wants, all the while stinging and being stung by everything it touches. Make sure you cover all of your pump intakes with sponge or netting as when an anemone gets sucked in, it usually doesn't survive. It also spews stinging nematocysts all over your tank.
Don't get me wrong, anemones are great. You just have to design the tank around them when you have them.
