I got a anemone this weekend and I can't seem ti find anything about it anywhere. it is yellow and has very short tenticals. What is it? Anyone know?

I have seen yellow anemones in the LFS and they owner told me they were dyed yellow and the yellow would eventually go away. I don't know if there are "natural yellow" anemones or not but maybe the reason you can't find it in books is that it is normally a different color?

Yellow eventually going away is usually just a myth,....Usually they die because of it. Shame that people do this to anemones..I've learned that there is no such thing as a yellow anemone, least not naturally. Off yellow and tan yes. Color is in the eye of the beholder though. Now if its bright yellow then I'd say dyed, off yellow could be an anemone regaining its zooxanthellae.
A pic of course would help, researching before purchasing also helps.

Its probably a sebae? hopefully it is sebae and not ritteri.
sebae and ritteri are commonly found in yellow. are the tips a different color? sebae have shorter tentacles usually and Ive seen alot in yellow- ans some bright ones. Was it like 30.00 bucks or so?
Heres an example of a sebae.
if the tentacles are really short and its disc shaped like a mushroom, it MIGHT be a rock anemone. A pic of yours wuold help.
