I have read lots of things about there being a 90% sucess rate with anemones after 6 mos. In your own experience, is this true?

I've had mine for 10 months and doing well so far. It split into 2 about 9 months ago and I would think that since the other one is a "clone" they would like the same conditons but one loves it right in front of the 1200 ph and the other one likes lower current.

bubbletip. I also have this really cool tulip anenome that is so little, about the size of a dime, and last night I think it ate 3 times it's size in food. I've only had it a couple months though, sent to me by a friend.

Well, it seems like on this board, the conclusion is that there is a
1:1 sucess rate with anemones!
Much better than 1:9...
:D

Since they live 50 yrs or more in the wild, sucess IMO would be after one would have one for 10 or more years.

Success is a relative term.
I've had my Sebae for about 1 year now.
I've lost a bubbletip and a condylactis to poor lighting/feeding.
Doing a poll such as this will not really tell you much.
Most folks that have kept anemonies will reply.
Those that have had them die - may not reply.
Plus - we're only polling a small percentage of people that keep them in the first place.
Polls are not too accurate.
