Oops! Purchased a beautiful anemone for my tank and hopefully maroon clown. Less than 2 days later, it died and poisoned my ENTIRE tank! What happened?

How old is the tank? What do you mean by "hopefully maroon clown"?? Also post what other inhabitants are in there.

Sounds like a bad acclimation.
Could you describe how you acclimated it?
Water paramiters, exact test scores?
Lighting, type, age, spectrum, size tank, total watts...etc..
In the meantime, run fresh carbon, do at least a 30% water change and get all of the remainder of the anemone out.
