At the moment as per my otherposts i am go through another cycle. My ammonia is still .25 but the others are down. My sand anemone has shrunk and looks alot smaller, is this normal or is it dying????

I would try to get a lfs to hold onto whatever live stock that you have purchased due to the fact that the ammonia could and probably will kill everything.

ok then i wander why the anemone is doing it then????? I have just done a 25% water change when should i do another???? My fish seem to be ok at the moment. thanks

what kind of anem. is it? I have a florida condi and a Hatian Pink tip, they both do it. Its a way to expel waste. As long as they are attached and not floating foot up they should be okay IMO. Maybe add some more water flow

My BTA used to "shrink" and look pretty sorry every so often. I tried to find some pattern to this activity to try to figure out why, but it seemed random. I don't know if it is a way to rest or, as suggested, expel waste. Either way, the BTA was okay and always puffed back up.
The clown really was the only one upset by it.
