The salt can also hurt your fish and other inverts if it get directly on them. Get yourself a little powerhead, and mix your water for water changes in some sort of plastic container the day before. Run the power head in it, and then all the salt will be mixed, ph will be balanced, and everything will be ready to go. Sometimes I even mix it a couple days ahead of time. I use one of those plastic storage tubs like you get at Wal-Mart. Then when your done, rinse it all, and you can store your water-changing supplies in the tub with the lid on! When I first started, I mixed a gallon at a time--yikes! Live and learn.
I don't think there's anything you can do for the anemone except watch it and keep everything in tip-top shape. It might surprise you. What kind is it?
