Okay, so I have had a BTA for quite a while now and it has never inflated its tips. It opens up nice and all, just doesn't inflate tips. Its healthy that i know of.
Water parameters are all good. Nitrate is like 10.
Lighting- 150W MH i have 50G tank

I am guessing you mean the tips don't bubble
I also have a very healthy BTA, and the tips only bubble once in a while
as long as it is open, full and eating....I would not be concerned

Yes that is what i meant. I know, not really concerned, but its just i think they look so nice when they are bubbled. And well like i said, hasen't bubbled since i got it.

post a pic, for some reason, in what ive obseved the brown/green ones(like mine) and not as "bubbly" as the pink or red ones. That might just be me though.
Its healthy and there is nothing to worry about, i feel the same way as you do though, mostly because it was bubbled in the store.

They will do all sorts of wierd things, they will deflate, twist, and they tend to move around alot until they find a place they like which can get them injured or killed by powerheads.
Yours sounds healthy, i had a great link, but it got lost when saltwaterfish.com did the whole change thing and i cant find it.
