I have a 10 gallon tank not setup up at all yet but will be soon. After the cycle and all that can I put maybe a Torch coral and a bubble tipped anemone or any anemone in there or is it to small.
I planned on gett 1-2 White and Black Ocs. ( I know I know to small of a tank but they will be moving in a month) I just want to know would it be ok?

if youre getting a new tank in a month, i think it would be best to wait on the anemone. the bubble tips are relatively hardy but still, anemones like a fairly established tank with steady parameters. the clowns would be fine without an anemone for a while and will maybe host in your torch or other large polyped stony corals. we have clowns that live in both our frogspawn and a huge sarcophyton leather.
also, if you get black and white theyll most likely be tank-raised and therefore will have never seen an anemone or know their kind usually live in it, so they might not take to it or any host.
good luck with your tank!

Thx Jr i appreciat your responds.
The thing is I already have the other tank it.s my 55 but it is still running as a FW and I will be tearing it down soon to put it up as a SW. I just wanted to get a head start on LR, LS, my corals and such. I would say my atnk would be running for about 7 months before I put the anemone and fish and all that in because of money FOR the time being I will just have a clean up crew and LR/LS in there. By the way how much LR/LS would you reccomend I put in my 10 gallon( I will be getting a sand sifting crab and he will stay there when I switch so what do you think would be a good SB depth??
If my clowns would be tank bread then how would they know whether to go to the torch coral or not ??
Thx for you help.

for a 10 gallon, if you keep the two clowns you dont want too much rock, they have to have swimming area. it is hard to say in pounds becasue some rock is really dense. a lot of times 1 or 2 pounds of rock per gallon can make a good size stable reef with plenty of holes and such.
imo it is best to get various kinds of rock (if available) and for the 55 you may want to get some base rock, which is much cheaper. with the other live rock in there and time, it will become live rock.
there are a lot of 10g pictures on here, check out their rock structure for ideas. try to get somewhat small pieces and build. in a nano scale is really important, you dont want it to look like a chunk of a reef but instead its own reef.
for live sand i think a couple inches, maybe 3 is enough.

oh yeah, the clowns. they might not move into a torch either being tank raised. even wild caught clowns wont always host in aquaria. its just that euphyllia corals (frogspawn, hammer, torch) are easier and less sensitive, generally, than anemones. just cross your fingers!
