Karen is right in saying that anemones cant live off of the light alone. They do get nutrition from the sugars produced by the zooxanthallae that is produced by the light, but they need more than that. More than the light, but not as much as what many people think. ( the food that makes it past your fish.. the tasty morsel that you clown takes to the anemone to hang onto until he comes back, the pods in the tanks (if the tank is mature enough to produce pods) ). Again, I dont feed mine directly, but they do get some food. Feeding them large hunks take too much energy to digest.

Yes I agree with you 100%. As I seemed to convey in my post that they are 100% dependent on light. I agree too they are not, and that was not my intention. I guess to word it better, I believe in the proper environment of light, water chemistry and flow, direct feeding is not necessary, providing you have and are feeding other tank inhabitants.
