My LFS just got some awesome Anemones. Really itching to get one. Has anyone had any success with them in their reef? I'm worried that it might move in on my corals. Is there any Anemones that is more hardier than the rest and easy to care for?

I've had some success with anemonies.
Find out what type of anemone that your LFS got in first and let me know.
As far as hardy goes, the E.Quad and other BTA's are among the easy to care for and hardy ones

A hatian anenome is the easiest to take care of, and the rose bubble tip will not move that much.
( thats what i have heard).

pink tip hatians, BTA's, and the condylactis are the hardiest anemones from my experience and from a trusted lfs

Condys are easier but are fish killers and most clowns will not host in them. BTAs are probably the least demanding anemones but you still need a mature tank (IMO at least 6 months old and you need a lot of light - MH is recommended or you need a ton of VHO or PC). As far as anemones moving it depends on your tank conditions. Any anemone can move at any given time if it is not happy with it's conditions (light, water quality, flow, predators, etc). Many people who get anemones that don't have the proper setup often can't even get them to attach. Not trying to dicourage you from getting one just make sure your system can handle it first! Here is some great info about anemones that you should read thourghly before you get one! http://www.carlosreef.com/AnemoneFAQ.pdf

An anemone is always a risk, esp. moving. Best advice I can give: Start it hi in the tank (as close to the light as possible) and give it room to move, just in case. There are no guarantees, so if you decide to get one, prepare as best you can. We got a BTA a couple/few months ago and placed it on a "pinnacle" rock. It moved to the opp. side of the rock at about the same height. I was able to turn the rock for better viewing and it hasnt moved (other than maybe an inch) since. Lucky maybe, but we're not complaining. Can post a pic or 2 if you like.

I've had my sebae for a year and a half and it's no trouble. It moves a little but not much. It hosted my sebae clown for a couple of months. It was really great. Then one of my crabs ate the clown. It was a sad day - and the crab got a free trip back to the LFS.

I have a rose bta, I placed him exactly where I wanted him to grab hold. It wouldn't stay put it would just fall to the sand. After a few tries I grabbed it placed it in the spot and held it there for about 2 minutes. Next thing you know he latched on and it's been there for the last month and a half. I hope he never moves. I don't recommend doing it my way (I heard they can sting) but hey it worked for me. Guess I got lucky.

Unfortunatley that is the problem with Condys. Some large Clarkiis and Tomatos wil host in them sometimes but then one morning you wake up and your fish is missing!
