will anemones hurt fish if they get to close or are the fish smart enough to stay away?

i have heard of some carpets swallowing some fish that got to close. i have also heard of some corals eating fish that tried to host in them. it really depends on what fish and anenome your are wondering putting togetther.

They can hurt them as well as eat them. The sting from the anemone can cause problems in other ways as well.

Most fish learn to stay away but they can get spooked or chased into an anemone, thats what the anemones hope and wait for.
