Anemones

on the feather dusters I wouldnt encourage a clown to use it as a host the are sensitive to things touching them and can actually cause them to close up and move to anew location and really stress the worm out. IMO
Sammy did give a lot of good info that it was late last night and wasnt thinking of it. so read his post carefully as well.
lighting for SPS or stony corals
most of them need high intensity of light Metal halide some will do good under VHO and PC but not very many. also I dont suggest starting with them as the smallest things can completely wipe out a colony in a matter of a few hours. these corals I would say to wait until your experience is higher than a newly started tank.
soft coral Power compact or VHO will do fine for most of them. just do research before you buy becasue there are a few that needs the higher lighting intensity.

I'll stay away from stony corals for about a good year until everything is established and the tank is ready for it and my wallet! I'll eventually add some Halides when I can find them at a modetatly price..
Thanks guys,

Anyone know what the minimum lightage or wattage is needed to grow soft corals? Maybe 3-6 max in a 30 gallon.. mostly small things except for a mushroom (I'm hoping to pick up a red and blue one in the future..)
Thanks,

Very nice JJ.. I only have a 29.. but I have a good 12lb rock that kinda looks like a x-mas tree.. that I'm going to throw the mushrooms on and maybe a soft coral or something..
Is there any kind of corals or something that like to make their home in the sand? ie. FD or something..
Let me know..
Thanks,
-Nick

Would you sell some frags or a colony of something?
I'm in Orlando and wouldn't mind the drive.. but I'd need to pick up quite a few things from you..
Let me know.. I don't have any money at the moment.. just got about 30lbs of LR today.. along with $30 in chemicals etc..
Maybe few months?
Let me know!

Thanks Nick - I have not had much luck with anemones. They seem to slowly die off. Had one for maybe a year. They need very good water quality and halide lights to do well. I have 440 watts of VHO and will add two 250watt halides as soon as champion gets them in. Have never fraged and do not know of any corals that you can put in the sand. As you can see by the picture mushrooms can take over. My whole tank is full of them. I need to get some different types.
