anenome and clownfish

do you recomend any certain anenome for clownfish and what things should you have in your tank so it will be healthy

Before you considering getting an anemone you must have all the right requirments....such as lighting and water quality.
and if you want a clownfish, it does not need to have an anemone, and will live perfectly happy without one.

I prefer Hairy Mushrooms for Clownfish. They don't move around, don't eat fish, and are very low maintenance.

just dont take what ever you LFS trys to sell you. Mine sold me a ritteri (one of the most hard so they say) and I only have PC lighting. I moved it to 4" below the water surface and now its happy. I have seen some cool shots of some false clowns in some really cool frogspawns. Kind of make me jelious because it looks cooler than an anemone.

Clowns will host lots of things other than anemonies. I've heard ones even hosting powerheads or even Koosh Balls.
I had one that hosted a starfish. It was very funny watching the clown bring the starfsh food. Never did see the starfish actually take the food, but it sure was fun watching the clown try...now he has adopted a brain coral I have. Same deal, though, the brain coral does not take the food.
I guess neither the starfish or the brain coral are properly equiped to take food in that manner, they need much smaller chucks and don't want them waived in front of them by a clown!
I kind of feel sorry for the little guy!
