anenome choice

No anemone is truly "easy-to-keep." But, the most success comes from the bubble tip (Entacmaea quadricolor).
I received a 2-3" bubble tip from my LFS around 3-4 months ago. About 3 weeks ago, it was over 13" in diameter and took up a quarter of the tank. 2 weeks ago it split- I now have 2x 6" bubble tips in the tank (which I'm now trying to get rid of, as the one clone is stinging my zoanthids...go figure).

I have a long tentacle anemone. It is doing fine. Fairly easy to keep among anemones.
Figure out which one you want, find out everything about keeping anemones, and specific needs of that one as well.
Make sure your water quality and lighting are appropriate. Make sure you can adequately feed it.
Then read some more.

If you decide to get one, I'd highly recommend having a tank set up for it and maybe a clown or two by themselves. They love to relocate, which is usually right next to your favorite SPS colony, which generally is on the other end of the tank, and to get there, it has to sting every other coral you have. Just a thought.

Tank raised Bubble tip anemone, may very well be the answer that you are looking for.
I purchased one 3 years ago, I now have 5 or is it 6? It keeps on splitting.

This might sound like dumb advice, but I've had really good luck with orange base LTA. The best partr about them is that they dont really move like other do. They find a comfy place usually next to a rock/glass and bury their base in the sand base. Mine havent moved in about 10 months since i got him. The other 2 have been at the same place for 5 and 3 months respectively. They dont move like the other anemones do, but finding a healthy one may be more difficult. Just my2 cents.
