Anenome food ?

Hola!! I have not done this yet, and i do not plan on it unless i see that many people have done it. I was wandering if anenomes can eat like pieces of like steak or chicken or something other than shrimp, krill, and that other thing that starts with an S, etc...I have not heard of it and i would think they couldnot but was kind of interested in knowing.

I have a carpet and I feel it tuna ,sardines and herring. The tuna and sardines are canned from the grocery store but I get the ones packed in water. And the herring are frozen for fishing bait. You also can get frozen anchovies also. And I havn't had any problems at all. And a tin of sardines in water is very cheap.

I wouldn't recommend it. Foods that are not part of an animal's natural environment generally aren't good for it. I used to feed my piranha cold cuts, but that was before I knew better. You can get frozen sea food at most good grocery stores that will make excellent anemone food... just make sure it is UNcooked. I feed my carpet herring, squid, and shrimp from teh supermarket, and silversides from the LFS - it's growing like a weed. It has trippled its size in about 6 weeks.
