Ive puchasesed a purple tipped anenome, the only problem is its seems to prefer being attached to my live rock on its side which doesnt seem to give it direct lighting that I think they need.Im feeding it small pieces of shrimp that it takes to well.
my ? is should I move it into a more direct light area.

anemones will move to wherever they are best suited for in your tank. You can try to move it, but if its attached itself, let it be. You might try moving some rock to alter the light flow.

Give him at least two weeks before you decide to go and move him, moving it only causes stress for it, you also do not want to hurt it by moving it.

thank you thomas for your reply, they seem like such fragile creatures and I kind of thought moving it was not wise.

No problem, I'm here to help. If you really think it should be moved then you have to check the scean like an EMT so to speak. Make sure its safe to move it. To many times someone will lift a rock with an anemone only to find out to late that its foot was also attached to another rock and they wind up splitting the foot or pedal disk of the anemone which could easily kill it.
