imo its normal for them to hide for a few hrs,you didnt acclimate correctly floating is not enough atleast 2-3hrs dripping the bta was stressed and dumping him into a tank where parameters might be diff. is very stressful.what are your parameters?how long has tank been set up?these are things you should read on before buying,what lights do you run?and it will move until it finds its home you can cover your powerheads cant think of the name right now, keep an eye on it so it dosent get sucked up
DANG! Some LFS!!! They told me to float, but now that you say that about drip-acclimation it makes sense to me. I sorta was hesitant about just putting it into the tank after floating it, but was going by the LFS. *sigh* I have plenty of flow without that one powerhead so I think I'll just leave it off til he moves. Tank has been up and running for approx 2 mo. I have some snails and crabs in the tank, and some died but I removed them as soon as I saw them. Water changed a few days prior to adding the anenome. Ammonia -0, Nitrites -0, Nitrates - 0, Ph -8. Pwr compacts but I dont know the wattage atm. (poor little guy....I feel so bad)
If it gets close to a place not good for him, how do I move him?
